Qing (Jessie) Xia

Jessie (Qing) Xia grew up in Nantong, also known as "The pearl of the Yangtze river." She got her Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing and later worked for a company there. Then she decided to come to the United States to pursue her advanced degrees. She attended Duke University and received both her Master's degree in statistics and her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at Duke. Jessie joined NISS in 2007 as a postdoctoral fellow, and is now a research statistician.
