This page describes the Statistics Visiting Lecture Program (SVLP) of the Committee of Presidents of the Statistical Societies (COPSS).

The program is directed at informing students and faculty of the career opportunities and intellectual depth of the modern science of statistics. Statistical science plays an important role in virtually every field of study, including the biological, engineering, computing, social, health and physical sciences, as well as business and finance. The importance of inference and analysis is crucial in this modern age of information.
