1. NASS PROTOTYPE. The current version (using synthetic data) is available at niss.cnidr.org.

3. TABLE SERVERS. Design specifications are being developed. A Java prototype (an application written in Swing, with an 8-way table) is available upon request to Alan Karr.

4. OTHER RESEARCH PROGRESS

Duncan and Keller-McNulty are continuing work on a decision-theoretic approach to data swapping and virtual (synthetic) data
Fienberg and Dobra are continuing work on scalable methods to compute bounds on table entries
Mario Trottini (CMU) successfully presented his thesis proposal "A Decision-Theoretic Approach to Data Disclosure Problems" on October 10.

5. DATA CONFIDENTIALITY WORKSHOP. The NISS Affiliates Program (see www.niss.org/affiliates/affiliatesmain.html for general information) will hold a workshop on "Data Confidentiality in the Internet Age" at NISS in April of 2001.
