RESEARCH. Currently, the central priority at NISS is construction of
a prototype table server. Over the past month, several important design
decisions for Version 1 have been taken, including: data structures (hash
tables), the schema for the query history database, initial risk measures
and initial release rules (operating principally in "real time,"
but also implementable in batch mode) and the software platform (server-side
Java).
