Digital Government:
Project Update - July, 2001
1. NEW PROPOSAL. A second NISS digital government proposal was submitted on July, 11, 2001. The scientific focus is issues of theory, methodology and prototype software involving data confidentiality, data integration and data quality. These are three major problems facing Federal statistical agencies. Project personnel include statistical and computer scientists from NISS, Carnegie Mellon University, Los Alamos National Laboratory, the University of Michigan (Institute for Social Research), Purdue University and Southern Methodist University. Agency partners are BLS, BTS, Census, NASS and NCES.
2. ROS SPECIAL ISSUE. The upcoming special issue of Research in Official Statistics
on Bayesian methods in official statistics will contain three papers arising
from the project:
