4. NEW POSTDOC. The second of this year's two new postdocs, Adrian Dobra, who is completing his Ph.D. in statistics at Carnegie Mellon University under the direction of Stephen Fienberg, arrived at NISS in mid-September. Adrian will be involved in this project as well as NISS research on data quality. In particular, he will play a lead role of construction of table servers.


5. NEW STUDENT. Krishna Kumaraswamy, who is a graduate of ISI, Calcutta, and is enrolled as a graduate student in the Center for Automated Learning and Discovery at Carnegie Mellon University, is now working on the project.


6. NISS NEWSLETTER. The October 2001 issue (Volume 2, Number 2) is now available on the NISS Web site, at www.niss.org/newsletter.html
