1. DATA CONFIDENTIALITY TECHNOLOGY DAY. More than 30 people attended the May 29 Data Confidentiality Day at the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington. 2. DATA SWAPPING WEB SERVICE. NISS WebSwap, a Web service that performs data
swapping based on user specification of
will soon be available as an experimental Web Service, at www.niss-webservices.org. You will receive a notification by E-mail. To use NISS WebSwap, it will be necessary to download an installation package containing the client software, demonstration files and user documentation from the NISS Web site.

5. LA TIMES ARTICLE. In connection with dg.o 2002, the annual Conference on
Digital Government Research, the Los Angeles Times (5/20/02 business section)
ran an article on NSF's digital government program, which included a nice mention
of the NISS project (even though they did not get our name quite right -- it
came out as National Institute of Statistical Analysis). The article may still
be available on the LA Times Web site (http://www.latimes.com).
