1. REGRESSION SERVERS. Research has begun at NISS on regression
servers, which are analogous to table servers, except that queries are for
the (initially, linear) regression of one attribute in a database on a subset
of the others. As for table servers, both dynamic and optimal static releases
will be addressed. Participants are Shanti Gomatam (NISS), Alan Karr (NISS),
Jerome Reiter (Duke) and Ashish Sanil (NISS). Related work on releases of
conditional distributions has been initiated at CMU, led by Stephen Fienberg.
