Project Update - October 2003
1. DATA SWAPPING TOOLKIT.
The recently released NISS Data Swapping Toolkit (DSTK) is available for
download on the NISS web site, at
http://www.niss.org/software/dstk.html
2. DATA CONFIDENTIALITY TECHNOLOGY DAY, to be held in Washington on Thursday,
November 20, 2003. The location will be announced shortly. In part, this
technology day is a report on recent research under this project to our
partner federal agencies: the BLS, BTS, Census, NASS and NCES. The planned
presentations:
- Introduction and Overview: Alan Karr, NISS
- Data Swapping Toolkit: Ashish Sanil, NISS
- Tabular Data (focusing in released marginals): Aleksandra Slavkovic, Carnegie Mellon University
- Perturbation Methods: Steve Roehrig, Carnegie Mellon University
- Regression Servers: Jerome Reiter, Duke University
- Privacy Preserving Regressions: Alan Karr
- Future Plans: Alan Karr
Space is likely to be VERY LIMITED. Those interested in attending should send E-mail to me as soon as possible.
3. RELATED MEETING.
PSD 2004--Privacy in Statistical Databases, will be held in Barcelona, Catalonia
on June 9-11, 2004. This meeting has substantial overlap with the project.
