• After having been a mainstay of NISS digital government research since its inception, Ashish Sanil is leaving NISS to pursue other opportunities, including living with his wife in New Jersey rather than commuting. I hope all of you join me in wishing him well.
  
  
• Mario Trottini's 2003 PhD thesis from the Department of Statistics at Carnegie Mellon University, entitled "Decision Models for Data Disclosure Limitation," is a finalist for the Savage Thesis Award presented by ISBA and the ASA Section on Bayesian Statistical Science. He has been invited to present a paper based on this work at the special Savage Award session at the JSM in Minneapolis in August.
