Participant Information

Participants must make their own travel and housing arrangements.

Travel

NISS is located in Research Triangle Park, NC, and can be reached as follows:

Air: Use Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), which is served by several major air lines, including American, Continental, Delta, Midway, Southwest, TWA, United and USAirways.
Automobile: Major interstate highways leading to Research Triangle Park are I-40 and I-85. Maps and driving directions to NISS are available on the NISS web site: www.niss.org/directions.html.
Rail: Amtrak provides daily service between Durham and points on the Eastern seaboard.

Rates are $85 plus 11% tax for single rooms and $95 plus 11% tax for double rooms. Following acceptance to attend the Workshop, participants should contact the hotel directly to make their own reservations. (Identify yourself as a participant at the NISS Workshop.) The deadline for reservations is November 1, 1999. Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to arrival in order to avoid penalty.

Free shuttle service between the hotel and RDU airport is available. Transportation from the hotel to the NISS building will be provided each morning. Return transportation to the hotel will be provided at the end of the day on Thursday, and transportation to the hotel and RDU airport at the end of the Workshop on Friday.
