The School of Mathematics at the Georgia Institute of Technology plays an important role in preparing future leaders in engineering, science, and technology. The school offers foundational courses in the mathematical sciences, as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, and their applications to Biology, Computing, Finance, and Optimization.

Faculty in the School carry out research in many areas of the mathematical sciences, including algebraic geometry, analysis, differential equations, discrete mathematics, dynamical systems, geometry, number theory, and topology, as well as applied and computational mathematics, mathematical biology, mathematical physics, probability, and statistics.
