Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor - University of Pittsburgh

The Department of Biostatistics in the School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor position, to begin in fall 2023 or earlier. The Department is interested in growing its expertise in environmental statistics, geographic information systems, spatiotemporal analysis, mobile health, data science, machine learning, causal inference, electronic health records, imaging, and microbiome. However, exceptional candidates with other research focuses will also be considered. We seek applicants with a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in biostatistics, statistics, data science, computer science, bioinformatics, or other related quantitative disciplines. New PhDs and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be involved with collaborative applied and methodological research, teaching and developing courses, and mentoring students. Candidates for Associate Professor are expected to have a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications, evidence of obtaining and implementing externally-sponsored research, and a history of teaching graduate-level courses in biostatistics and/or mentoring graduate students.
