Welcome to the debut of NISS' new blog! We think this new feature will be a new and exciting way to start a conversation with you. It will have first-hand accounts from some of the workshops, profiles of people in the statistics field and highlights from some of our events
What can I expect to see?
Our acting director will share what is happening at NISS. We will feature members of our Board of Trustees, let you get to know our current and former postdocs, hear about projects we are working on, discuss topics of interest to statisticians, learn about trends and techniques in statistics, and find out what our affiliates do as well as keep you posted on upcoming events and a summary of events that have taken place. There will be many diverse voices writing blog entries, including famous, prominent statisticians, postdoctoral fellows, staff members, affiliates, Board members, and others.
But, most importantly, YOU will help drive the content. This should not be a one-way street. You need to suggest what you want to read about. After you have read a posting, add your comments. Discuss and debate an issue.
How often will there be new content?
We will post something at least once every other week, preferably once a week, so be sure to come back to our site often to check to see what new content is available.
