Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Statistics at the University of Michigan is seeking to fill a Lecturer I position. This is a 100% effort, one-year appointment that may be extended subject to departmental needs and satisfactory performance.

The initial appointment period is for Fall Term 2023 (8/28/23-12/31/23) with anticipation it will continue into the Winter 2024 term and beyond.  Primary responsibilities initially include teaching undergraduate lab sections for Statistics 250, holding office hours, grading assignments and exams, and participating in other activities of the course instructional team led by senior lecturers.  Subsequent teaching assignments will be a mix of lab section instructor and primary course instructor assignments, as determined by the department’s teaching needs.

Position Qualifications: Candidates should have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field, and some college-level teaching experience.
