The Dr. Bing Zhang Department of Statistics in the College of Arts Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky seeks to fill two tenure-eligible faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. These are 9-month positions in the regular title series with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2027. We seek candidates with a strong record of, or demonstrated potential for, impactful statistical and/or probabilistic research, with particular interest in candidates whose research areas broadly encompass the areas of Data Science, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning. Demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research is required. Candidates should be competent to teach a variety of subjects at the undergraduate and graduate level, commensurate with a required broad graduate education. The anticipated Distribution of Effort will be 38% teaching, 57% research, and 5% departmental service. This position will be a 9-month appointment with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2027.

A Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field is required.
