72nd Clemson University / University of Georgia Joint Statistics Colloquium - POSTPONED

Since 1973, the Department of Mathematical Sciences (now known as the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences) at Clemson University and the Department of Statistics at The University of Georgia (UGA) have worked together to organize the UGA/Clemson Joint Seminar Series. The first joint seminar was hosted at Clemson University on April 25, 1973, and featured Dr. Herbert Solomon of George Washington University. This event is still held annually with Clemson and UGA alternating as hosts of the event. 

The 2020 joint seminar is already scheduled for April 16, 2020, will be the 72nd event in the series. The keynote speaker for this colloquium will be Jeffrey Rosenthal (University of Toronto). He will join a list of past distinguished speakers that includes Brian Williams, Dan Apley, David Ruppert, Jim Berger, Kathryn Chaloner, Steve Marron, George Casella, Ed George, Marie Davidian, and Ray Carroll. 

While this event is centered on the UGA Department of Statistics and the Clemson School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, we welcome and typically have participation from researchers and faculty in Biostatistics, Public Health, Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences, Industrial Engineering, and Physics.
