Statistics in the Age of AI at GWU

May 9-11, 2024

This conference aims to bring together researchers in academics and industries to explore the impact of AI on statistical research and education and also to brainstorm how statistics can contribute to AI. The conference features two short courses on causal inference (by Dr. Peng Ding from University of California, Berkeley) and conformal prediction (by Dr. Jing Lei from Carnegie Mellon University), multiple talk sessions, two panels on research and education/practice, and one poster session.

  Conference Registration (May 10 and 11, 2024)
  Full Registration: $300 by Apr 16, 2024; $350 after Apr 16, 2024.
  Student Registration: $150.
  Short Course Registration (May 9, 2024, conference registration NOT required)
  Conformal Prediction: $60.
  Causal Inference: $60.
  Both Short Courses: $100.

Poster abstract submission (with limited travel awards) is open


We are now accepting poster abstracts submitted by students, postdocs and junior researchers. Selected posters will be presented in the poster session on May 10, 2024. Limited travel awards will be provided to selected poster presenters. The deadline for being considered for the travel awards is March 15, 2024.
