Personal WebsiteDr. James (Jianghu) Dong is a faculty member in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). He earned his Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University. Dr. Dong has received multiple accolades for his excellence in teaching and mentorship, including the Distinguished Teaching Award from the ITEACH at UNMC, and the Outstanding Teacher Award from the UNMC Faculty Senate. As a dedicated educator and mentor, he is committed to helping students develop deep insights and practical skills in data science and statistics.
Beyond his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Dong actively contributes to the statistical community. He serves as a reviewer for multiple statistical journals. He regularly organizes conference sessions on statistical methodologies. Additionally, he is a member of the NISS Academic Affiliates Subcommittee, demonstrating his commitment to fostering academic growth and professional development among graduate students and peers.
