Position Overview
The Department of Statistics seeks to fill at least one open rank tenured / tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the research, teaching and service missions of the department. Candidates with expertise in all research areas of statistics are encouraged to apply. The appointment will be at a level commensurate with the applicant’s experience. Senior applicants must specify the desired appointment rank in their cover letter.

Education and Experience Requirements
Required: Completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in Statistics or related field by the start of employment. A commitment to a career-long program of forward-looking, innovative research in statistics. A commitment to the development and delivery of high quality courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants at the Associate or Full rank must have established a record of excellence in research, mentorship, teaching, and service.
Desired: At the Assistant rank, a strong record of training in statistics. At the Associate or Full rank, a strong record of internal and external service. At the Associate or Full rank, a record of funding commensurate with research area. For all ranks, a research program that complements our current faculty.

- Attachment 2: CV (Curriculum Vitae): Detailed overview of your scholarly experience, including your research experience, teaching and mentoring experience, service, funding, and publications.
- Attachment 3: Research Statement: Summary of your past research accomplishments, current work/research, and proposal for your future research plan as a faculty member.
- Attachment 4: Teaching Statement: A statement of your approach, experience and philosophy regarding teaching, learning, and mentoring.
- Attachment 5: Transcript (only for applicants who received their PhD in 2022 or more recently or who have not yet received their PhD).

Department Information
The department values the full spectrum of research, including theoretical and methodological development, computational methods, and applications. A particular strength of the department has been its success in collaborative research with many units across the university. In addition to a variety of degrees in Statistics, the department has strong roles in the interdisciplinary PhD program in Biostatistics, the undergraduate major in Data Analytics, and the Translational Data Analytics Institute.
