Simon Frost is a Principal Scientist at Microsoft Discovery & Quantum, Professor of Pathogen Dynamics at LSHTM, and the Co-Founder and Principal Data Scientist at DIOSynVax.

His research interests are broadly in the area of infectious diseases, sitting somewhere between infectious disease dynamics and infectious disease evolution. At Microsoft, he works on Premonition (https://premonition.microsoft.com), their platform for situational awareness of biological threats, as well as acting as a subject matter expert in biology for Microsoft Discovery, Microsoft's AI-driven platform for science.

At LSHTM, he works on developing methodology for infectious disease modeling, as well as engineering platforms that offer an end-to-end solution from data to epidemiological insights in order to best inform policy.

At DIOSynVax, a start-up he co-founded, he designs broadly reactive antigens to be used in next-generation vaccines, including candidates for haemorrhagic fevers, such as Ebola, Marburg and Lassa fever, as well as influenza viruses and coronaviruses.

Simon is a keen software developer. His GitHub profiles include his personal site (http://github.com/sdwfrost) as well as a repository for infectious disease modeling (https://github.com/epirecipes).
